Friday Favorites

TGIF! Happy Friday friends! I hope your week flew by... I know mine did! Which is a great thing because I have some fun Christmas things planned for this weekend. Can you believe Christmas is only 10 days away!! Is it me or did it come up on us fast this year? I always say I'm going to start my Christmas shopping in October so that I don't wait until last minute... and I failed myself again... I started my Christmas shopping this week. Ugh! Please tell me I'm not the only one... **Ahem...this is where you tell me I'm not the only one and you are the same way**

Anyway, this weeks Favorite Friday post has to do with my favorite home decor bloggers. They are basically the reason I started a blog of my own. Not that mine comes close to what they can do... these people are AMAZING at decorating their homes and I steal so many ideas from them to decorate my own home.

Really, to become a successful home decor blogger, you have to have a big, new or renovated home, a husband who can build anything for you, and no budget... haha at least that's what it seems like! I'm just kidding, but I swear, most bloggers I follow have that!

Believe or not, my fiancé is the one who found Liz Marie's blog. We had been researching ideas for a house project and whatever he googled, came up with Liz Marie's blog! When he sent me the link I was so amazed by her decor. It's very rustic and farmhouse and a little outside of my design realm, but I absolutely love watching what she does with her home. Her and her husband recently bought a farmhouse and have been renovating it like crazy. It's so beautiful! They have been adding some farm animals and her goats are adorable! I seriously want a goat so bad... **hint hint Aaron**

I put Nelly and Jessica together because they are best friends and neighbors and they are ahhhhhmazing! Nelly has a blog and Jessica just uses Instagram and I can't get enough of the way they decorate their homes. Give them both a follow on Instagram and they won't disappoint. The picture above is from Nelly's living room and it gives me all the feels! I love the double Christmas tree look and the German schmear on her fire place is my fave! I wish I had brick so I can do that look. They both live in a suburb of Northern California and somehow they have transformed their homes into a rustic farmhouse style home.

Janna is an interior designer from Oregon and if I could have her come up to Washington to decorate my house, I would let her have total control to do whatever she wants. Thats how much I love her home! Her kitchen alone is beautiful and exactly how I'd want my kitchen to look. I mean look at the barn door as the entry way to her pantry! Follow her instagram to see her ever-changing home decor! She changes her front porch for every season and it has inspired me to do the same.

I mentioned Emily in my last Friday Favorites post because she makes the most amazing signs! On top of that, she has a beautiful home as well! I think I like it so much because I would decorate my own house exactly like hers. It seems like every weekend she is starting a new home project and her husband makes just about anything she comes up with. I like her style because it has more of a modern farmhouse style which is what I most relate to.

I recently discovered Nina and Cecilia's blog and instagram pages and I'm so glad I did! They are like a breath of fresh air when it comes to decorating their home. It's gorgeous!!! I mean look at their living room above! They are twin sisters and they both have the cutest families! They're so good, they are working with HGTV #goals

I hope you guys found some new people to follow and get inspired like I did! Have a great weekend!

Friday Favorites

Happy Friday friends! We finally made it! It was especially hard getting through a full work week after so much time off last week. Especially for me... I only worked Monday last week so it was rough! Cheers to the freakin' weekend!

To celebrate it being Friday, I'm starting a new weekly blog post called Friday Favorites. I'll be posting five of my favorite items every week in hopes that I can share them with you and turn you on to what might be your new favorite item. Let me know if you love them as much as I do! They are also fantastic gift ideas just in time for Christmas! Just sayin'...

1. Return Address Self Inking Stamp

Everyone needs one of these right? I bought one when I ordered our Save The Dates to make it easier when sending them out. Instead of having to write my address on every single envelope, I just stamped it. It took only a few minutes to stamp 75 envelopes. The stamp itself came out perfectly and the ink did not smudge or anything. It looks just like the picture above but with our names and address. Not bad for the price either! Shipping was incredibly fast as well. After you place your order, the seller will send you a proof with your info on it. Once you approve that, it takes just a few days to get it in the mail. I was pretty impressed with this one!

2. Queen B Home Signs

Emily makes the best signs! She makes them all herself right out of her garage in her home in Arizona. They are such great quality and she uses paint to make the signs not stickers. I don't know how she does it but they are amazing! My cousin Kaila and I love her work and have both bought signs. She also does custom work so if you're looking for something that you can't find anywhere, Emily is your girl! She's also quite entertaining on Instastories. Give her a follow @qbhome

3. The Everett Foyer Table from World Market

If there is one table you need in your life, it's this one! I am so obsessed with it and soooo sad because I don't have a spot in my house for this at the moment. But that doesn't mean it can't be one of my faves! I will find a spot for this in the near future... just gotta make some room in my house lol If you follow other home decor bloggers, you'll notice most of them have this table in their house and it is beautiful! You can find it at World Market and it may be a bit pricey but it tends to go on sale from time to time. Check out some examples on how gorgeous this table is!

4. Aimee Layered Y-Chain Necklace

Baublebar has some of the cutest jewelry ever and I've bought many pieces of bling from them. If there's one necklace you need in your life, this is it! It's so versatile, you can wear it dressy or with jeans and a t-shirt. I have this in gold and wear it all the time. It also comes in rose gold since that color is really in right now. This necklace is so popular with bloggers, I'm sure you've noticed it if you follow any fashion bloggers. Definitely had to add this as one of my favorite items because this would make such a great Christmas gift idea! Below are some ideas of how to wear it with different outfits. [pictures taken from the baublebar website]

5. Decor Steals

Decor Steals quickly became one of my favorite websites to shop! It's a daily deal website that sells farmhouse decor at a discounted price. It's legit too! I've bought a few pieces from them including a metal ladder, cotton ball wreath and my farmers market metal sign to name a few. It works a little differently so I'll explain. They put an item up for sale for one day. You order the item but the catch is, it takes a little longer to have it shipped to you... sometimes up to 15 days. But I promise, it's totally worth it! Every item in the picture above is something they sell. If you love farmhouse decor, check it out! You won't be disappointed :)

Alright... first Friday Favorites is in the books! I hope you guys find something you like! If you do, shoot me an email! I'd love to hear any suggestions or questions you guys have as well!

Engagement Photos

I hope everyone had a great Thanksgiving! Ours was pretty quiet and we didn't go all out like we usually do. Aaron and I took advantage of Black Friday and bought ourselves a new iMac computer! Kinda crazy because I never was interested in having one before but we decided to get one since we both love using Apple products. I'm going to set up a little office space in our house so be on the lookout for a blog post about that soon!

I had so much fun taking our engagement photos! We took them at Jennings Park in Marysville, WA which is the town Aaron grew up in. I told our photographer that I wanted a "Fall" look and she nailed it! This park was perfect to capture the colorful leaves and beautiful landscape. I was so nervous because Aaron and I were both sick the week leading up to the photos and it was pouring rain every day that week as well. It was a miracle that the day of the pictures, we felt good enough to get ready and the sun came out!

Our photographer, Jessica Raney of Raney Day Photography, does some great work! If you need a photographer for family photos, engagement sessions or your wedding, look her up! She is also doing our wedding day and I cannot wait to see how those photos will turn out!

Happy Thanksgiving!

Happy Thanksgiving friends! I'll start off by saying I'm thankful for each and every one of you, my readers! Whether you're friends or family or just someone who stopped to take the time to read my blog... just know I'm grateful :)

We celebrated Thanksgiving last night with Aaron's parents and so today we get to relax and stuff our faces with leftovers... or perhaps cook the 2nd turkey in the fridge. I'm also gonna put up all my Christmas decorations today Yayyyy!!! I've been holding out since Halloween (yes I know that's ridiculous) but I can't wait any longer! I've been listening to Christmas music and watching Christmas movies for the last month now... Aaron is so over it haha!

It's also a great day to shop! Sooo many Black Friday deals are starting today and many started earlier this week. I can't tell you how hard it is to not shop for myself. I might give in but c'mon, these deals are too great to pass up!

I've rounded up a few of my favorite items for you guys, so get ready to shop your heart out! Just a quick warning: there is some a lot of white involved...

Hearth and Hand

It's finally here!! Hearth and Hand by Chip and Joanna Gaines is now available at Target and there is so much goodness!!! I am so excited that I don't have to go all the way to Waco to shop their products anymore... I live 5 minutes from a Target, which means trouble...

I didn't make it to Target until the day after the line was released thanks to snow. I will say I was a little disappointed with the selection at my local Target. It was small... I'm talking one aisle small. I was hoping for way more... but thank god for online shopping! I have been scouring the Target website and I have all my favorites picked out! I've even ordered some things that should be arriving tomorrow.

A lot of it is holiday decor, which, not gonna lie, I probably won't be buying much of. Except for a tree skirt which I must have! (see below)

AND the best news yet... they will be bringing out new merchandise every season! The fun just keeps coming!

Most of my faves are kitchen items. My kitchen plates and utensils need a little updating so I'm taking full advantage of these products and I'm obsessed! Click on the picture to shop!

Hello Fall!

My favorite time of the year is finally here!!

It may not be fall officially but c'mon... we all know once September 1st hits, it's basically here. And I could not be more excited! So much so that I decided to throw a first day of fall potluck at work and am already planning to attend fall festivities, like a brew fest at a pumpkin patch.

The weather finally cooled off yesterday and we actually got some rain. I wore sweats for the first time since, like April, and today I plugged in the apple cinnamon scented glade plug-ins and my house smells ahhh-mazing! Not to mention football is back and we are cooking a yummy roast in the crockpot for dinner. I'm soaking it all in!

What I also love about this time of year is all the fun fall decor that stores are putting out and a lot of it is on sale! So I put together a list of some of the cutest fall decor items and I want all of them!

FYI - after going through so many websites to find stuff for you guys, I realized Crate and Barrel had the CUTEST fall decor. I mean, three of the items below are from their website and I want everything I saw! I need a 2nd job just to feed my shopping addiction! But really, I hope you like what you see and if you buy anything, let me know!!
